Darin and I have known each other since we were little, in other words a really long time. Funny info we found out the other day while looking at his baby book, my Mom visited Gail (Darin's Mom and Darin) in the hospital when he was born. We went to High School together and I thought he was a big jerk, he thought I was ornery. To funny that all these years later we would end up together, and that a big jerk like him could make such an ornery girl so happy. Happy is an understatement for the way he make me feel.
After being single for almost four years my sweet friend Jan suggested I try a dating site. I was so freaked out by the thought, but after not having success in the dating field on my own I took Jan's advice. Match.com here I come! Wow was I skeptical, I was sure this was a waste of my time and money. I met a few really fun guys really quick. I signed up on a Tuesday and got an e-mail from someone who obviously knew me because he knew my maiden name. There was one BIG problem his pictures were really small and taken from a long distance so I had no idea who he was. I wrote back to him and asked who he was. He wrote back, my response "Holy Crap, it's Darin, aren't you married?" Lucky me he wasn't!!! This was on Friday. Darin called me Saturday morning to ask me to lunch. I was so nervous...ugh...more nervous than I had been for any of the other dates I had gone on since my divorce. Darin picked me up and we went to Red Lobster. (YUM) We talked and laughed and had the best time. I think the waiter wondered if we were ever going to leave. I had bought a dresser the day before and didn't know how I was going to get it home. I asked Darin if he would pick it up in his truck. Of course he did, and told me, "by the way your going to the ranch with me this afternoon then to Gunlock to pick up Kayson." Well alrighty then to the ranch we go. I will write about the rest of the fun we had on our first date net blog, it will take a while.
